FastQRMenu

Product questions, answered plainly

What restaurants ask before they put a QR code on the table

These answers describe the product as it works today, including plan limits and the integrations FastQRMenu does not provide yet.

Product basics

What FastQRMenu is and what guests experience at the table.

What is FastQRMenu?+

FastQRMenu is browser-based QR menu ordering software for restaurants, cafes, food trucks, and hotel restaurants. Owners publish a digital menu, assign a QR code to each table, and receive submitted orders in a live dashboard. Guests use their own phone browser, so they do not need to install an app or create an account.

Does FastQRMenu replace a paper menu?+

It can replace the menu pages guests handle and the repeated reprinting needed for price or availability changes. You still print a QR code for each table or service point. After that, menu edits go live in the browser without replacing the printed QR code.

Do guests need an app or an account?+

No. A guest scans the table QR code with their phone camera, opens the menu in a browser, adds items, and submits the order. There is no customer app download and no guest account creation in the current ordering flow.

Setup and QR codes

How owners publish menus and connect each table to the correct order flow.

How do I set up a restaurant?+

Create an owner account, add the restaurant profile and branding, build menu categories and items, then create the tables you want to serve. FastQRMenu generates a table-specific QR entry for each active table. Print or download those codes and place the correct code at each table.

Does every table get a different QR code?+

Yes. Each table can have a unique QR token, which lets the public ordering page identify the restaurant and table before the guest submits an order. This prevents staff from having to ask which table placed the order.

Can guests open the menu without scanning a table QR code?+

Yes. Every restaurant can share a public menu link. Guests who open that link without table context can browse first and resolve their table during checkout. Table QR codes remain the fastest option for dine-in service because the table is already known.

Orders and tracking

What happens after a guest presses the order button.

Do new orders appear in real time?+

Yes. A submitted order is stored under the restaurant and appears in the owner dashboard through a live Firestore listener. The dashboard can play a sound alert, and staff can move the order through received, accepted, preparing, ready, served, paid, or cancelled states.

Can a guest track the order after checkout?+

Yes. The confirmation flow creates a tracking link for the order. The guest can open that link to follow status changes. When WhatsApp handoff is enabled, the same tracking link can be included in the prepared WhatsApp message.

Can staff update an order from a phone?+

The owner dashboard is browser-based and responsive, so it can be opened on a phone, tablet, laptop, or desktop. A larger screen is usually easier during a busy service, but no dedicated cashier hardware is required by FastQRMenu.

WhatsApp handoff

How the optional WhatsApp step works without replacing the live dashboard.

Can customers send their order to WhatsApp?+

Yes. When the restaurant enables WhatsApp orders and adds a destination number, the confirmation flow can open WhatsApp with a prepared order summary. The core order is saved to the FastQRMenu dashboard first, so the restaurant still has the order record if the guest closes WhatsApp.

Is this a WhatsApp Business API integration?+

No. FastQRMenu uses a prepared WhatsApp handoff link. The guest reviews and sends the message from their own WhatsApp app. FastQRMenu does not silently send the message and does not require the restaurant to configure the Meta WhatsApp Business API.

Plans and limits

What the free and paid packages currently include.

Is the Free plan time-limited?+

No. The Free plan has no time limit and does not require a credit card. It supports up to 3 tables or QR codes and up to 15 menu items, with the realtime dashboard, push notifications, and restaurant branding included.

What do the paid plans add?+

Starter is €12 per month and supports up to 10 tables with unlimited menu items and an editable public URL. Pro is €24 per month and supports up to 30 tables. Business is €45 per month and removes the table limit. Quarterly billing receives a 15% discount and annual billing receives a 25% discount.

Current limitations

Clear answers about capabilities that are not part of the product today.

Does FastQRMenu process online payments?+

No. FastQRMenu currently handles digital menus, table ordering, order status, and optional WhatsApp handoff. Guests still pay at the table or counter using the restaurant's existing process. Online payment processing is not included today.

Does FastQRMenu integrate with a POS system?+

No POS integration is available today. Orders appear in the FastQRMenu dashboard and staff handle them there. If automatic POS, printer, inventory, or payment synchronization is required, FastQRMenu is not currently the right fit for that requirement.

Can I use a custom domain?+

Editable public restaurant URLs are available from Starter. Full custom-domain support is still being completed, so restaurants should use their FastQRMenu public URL until the custom-domain flow is released.
