Keep the dashboard open during service. New orders arrive through a live listener and should move through clear status stages so staff and guests see the same progress.

Procedure

Complete the workflow in order

Open the order board

Use the dashboard orders area before guests begin scanning.

Acknowledge new orders

Review the table, items, notes, and total before accepting the order.

Update preparation status

Move the order through preparing, ready, and served as the work progresses.

Complete the order

Use paid or the appropriate final state after the restaurant completes its existing payment process.

Verification

Confirm the expected result

  • The dashboard device is online and audible.
  • A test order appears without refreshing.
  • Staff agree on who changes each status.
  • The final status matches the real service outcome.
