Enable the optional WhatsApp order handoff

WhatsApp is an optional second step after the core FastQRMenu order is saved. It opens a prepared message for the guest to review and send; it is not automatic messaging or a Business API integration.

Procedure

Complete the workflow in order

Add the destination number

Enter the restaurant's WhatsApp-capable phone number in restaurant settings.

Enable WhatsApp orders

Turn on the optional handoff for the restaurant.

Submit a test order

Complete checkout and use the WhatsApp action on the confirmation screen.

Review before sending

Confirm the prepared message contains the order summary and tracking link, then send it from the guest device.

Verification

Confirm the expected result

  • The destination number includes the correct country code.
  • The order appears in the dashboard before WhatsApp opens.
  • The prepared message matches the confirmed order.
  • Staff understand that the guest must press Send in WhatsApp.
